Cupid

Don't you find it slightly stupid
that one day's assigned to cupid
who like Santa in december
must find each and every member
of the club of "love you more"
within allotted twenty-four?

To do the job the proper way
you'd say to Cupid "here you stay"
and give the little guy directions:
act when you see true affections
any time that love might tarry;
surely not just February.
