Did they think their own
private ideas would suffice?
Did you say it's okay?
Do you feel you agreed?
Did they simply decide
that they knew what you need?
They think, don't you see,
that they're quite justified
and the things that they want
they should not be denied.
But I don't think they asked you
(they didn't ask me)
if the bargain was worth
trading safety for free.
