Artist and Driver

Emily Kent was an artist and driver:
pastels that spread cheer to a major extent.

But her driving? Not up to her drawing, alas,
Last Thursday it happened; her fender got bent.

She cried when she looked at her little blue car;
sobbed harder to think about what it all meant.

Fixing a fender's a big cash expender;
but she was an artist; her money all spent.

Then she blinked and took out her fixative,
sprayed it on fender: away the dent went.
