When I break down the facts that result in my wallowing
-- I've too many favorite dishes to taste --
I see that the problem's not eating, just swallowing.
If I just skipped that part I'd have less of a waist.
It's too bad that the palate's connected to throat
And also that stomach's connected to brain.
If they all were quite separate I might have a hope
Of ending what I do again and again,
Which is simply to finish the food on my plate
(as I had been told years ago when still small).
I don't seem to have any feeling of "sate"
'til much later -- and by then I've eaten it all!
So what I'm attempting to do this time 'round
Is to eat plenty one day, the next day I fast.
I'm hoping this plan is the best that I've found
and it makes me eventually skinny -- at last.
