I am sure you'll agree
once I help you to see
that it's more democratic
and helps us stay free
to have privilege, power, of course secrecy
uncategorically granted to me.

What I do, I must do --
I decide that for you
And I give and I serve
so I surely deserve
some reward for the task
that I did 'cause you asked
(though you many not recall
having asked me at all).

But my righteous importance
should serve to forestall
any scrutiny, inquiry, question, or call
for reflection -- we cannot afford any pause lest we fall.

So I'll help you to see
and I'm sure you'll agree
that it's more democratic
to just listen to me.
